Why Choose HealingHearts

Health Guarantee

HealingHearts Siberian Cattery is a proud health testing member of The Siberian Cat Health Association. We are also registered as a SpaySecure breeder. In addition, we guarantee that we only sell kittens, who are a minimum of 14 weeks, after they have received age appropriate vaccinations and present negative fecal tests. Parents are HCM, FeLV, PCR, and 7b ELISA tested before they are bred to ensure to the best of our ability that the kittens are free of any genetic issues. Accordingly, our kittens come with a 1 year health guarantee. In addition, each kitten comes with a voucher for a free thirty-day pet insurance policy through Trupanion (must be activated by adopter and adopter can continue the policy beyond the free trial period, if desired).

Our Mission

Our mission is to select Siberians that come from the best European champion and therapy cat lines in terms of type, temperament and health, and to place them with people and families that will benefit most from the training we provide during their early weeks. We feel privileged that the majority of our kittens have been placed as emotionally supportive therapy pets. Many of our families have members who are special needs or on the Autism spectrum. Our Siberians are well socialized with people of all abilities. It is beautiful to see their intuitive personalities adapt to each client’s needs.

If adopting one of our cats/kittens as a therapy pet, please note that they need continuous training and socialization in their new home to maintain their therapeutic abilities. Their boundaries should always be respected and they should never be forced to accomodate or expected to withstand mistreatment.

Hypoallergenic Cats

I am extremely allergic to most cats and non-doodle dogs. Years ago I had a Snow Bengal named Yuki that I was able to tolerate, but any other type of cat would trigger an asthma attack. Thankfully after finding the Siberian breed, I live very peacefully with my entire Siberian cattery of various colors, both traditional (classic tabbies) and Neva Masquerade (white with points).

Siberians are hypoallergenic cats, but some people have higher sensitivities. We welcome families to see if it works for them, but we cannot give any guarantees. Some Siberian cats have lower Fel d1 protein levels in their saliva (which is better for allergies), but at this time we do not do Fel d1 testing.
